Brian Shields—MMA Coach
Brian has been involved in MMA since 2002, originally a member of Team Quest in Gresham, OR with Randy Couture, Matt Lindland, Chris Leben, Ed Herman, Nate Quarry and many other pro fighters. Brian was also the sponsorship coordinator and fighter relations manager for Matt Lindland and Randy Couture’s SPORTFIGHT. As a deputy Sheriff in Vancouver, WA for six years, Brian took it upon himself to learn different forms of combat skills to protect himself and his fellow officers while on duty. As a training member on the competition team for Xtreme Couture, Brian had the opportunity to train in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Jose, San Diego, Chicago and Salt Lake City with pro fighters such as Randy Couture, Forrest Griffin, Bas Rutten, Frank Shamrock, Ken Shamrock, Andrei Arlovski, Dean Lister, Mike Swick, Gray Maynard, Gina Corrano, Dennis Davis, Mike Pyle, Kimbo Slice and several other pro fighters.
It is a great privilege to have Brian as part of our team at Calhoon’s. Brian is also a regional manager for Community Banks Residential Mortgage division in Walla Walla.
